We are always accepting tax deductible donations from any resident, local business, or elected official to help fund our NIE program.
Our Newspapers in Education program delivers The Monroe Evening News to hundreds of eager and deserving students from elementary through high school each weekday. Their grateful teachers rely on the generosity of corporate and individual sponsors to continue receiving these papers. Sponsorship funds are used solely for funding the cost of newspapers so programs can be offered at no cost to teachers.
The Monroe Evening News Newspaper In Education program is made possible through the support of our generous sponsors. While we supply free curriculum guides and supplementary teaching materials, the discounted-rate newspapers are paid for by donations from local businesses and organizations who "adopt" classrooms and subscribers who donate the value of their missed newspapers while they are away from home.
